The Digital Standards Organization's Hague Declaration
On May 21st 2008, in the Dutch Royal Library in The Hague, the Digital Standards Organization adopted The Hague Declaration, which calls on all governments to :
- Procure only information technology that implements free and open standards;
- Deliver e-government services based exclusively on free and open standards;
- Use only free and open digital standards in their own activities.
I signed the declaration today, and I urge you to do the same.
